Colleen has been an occupational therapist for 10+ years and a natural-born helper for her whole life. After years of working in a private, special education setting and serving as the Head of the Occupational Therapy Department, Colleen is following her passion for supporting parents and families develop healthy and meaningful relationships with their neurodivergent youth and youth with disabilities. Once Colleen found her calling to become an OT, she received her Bachelor of Science, Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at Boston University. Colleen's doctoral project focused on developing a program to help facilitate the transfer of responsibility for daily life tasks to parents of children with disabilities. After years of working with the parents/guardians of her students she saw in the school setting, it reaffirmed the great need that parents have in their quest to support their children more in the home setting while fostering a neurodiversity affirming environment.
